HATCH has announced that the application deadline for its first Asian Aquaculture Innovation Studio is approaching fast! The application date is before 8th of April! This year HATCH is seeking entrepreneurs to grow their talent and business through the online Asian Aquaculture Innovation Studio. This program is supported by StartupSG and is open to researchers, inventors, teams, startups, entrepreneurs or SME’s in aquaculture or adjacent industries with a great idea, project, or technology.
Food security and sustainability have been making the headlines more in the recent years, and for good reason. Aquaculture holds great promise for sustainable food production, but only if done right. For this very reason, Hatch has invested in and scaled more than 30 aquaculture and alternative seafood startups in the past 3 years. It has set up the office in Singapore in 2019 to uncover and work with promising Asian startups in the aquaculture and alternative seafood space. 89% of global aquaculture production is located in Asia and Southeast Asia is already the fifth largest economy in the world. As the market continues to grow, we are looking for the best aquaculture and alternative seafood ideas to develop and scale into viable businesses.
