De Heus Indonesia inaugurated two new production towers, each for the production of poultry feed (Poultry Tower) and production of fish and shrimp feed (Aqua Tower).
The event in November was led by President Director of De Heus Indonesia, Kay de Vreese, Commercial Director, Edi Wahyu Cahyono, Finance Director, Stefan Ekkels, Head Production, Indra Kusuma Jaya, as well as the management team from De Heus Indonesia. The event was marked by technology innovations; truck lifting and automatic dispersing of product and robotic tracking.
Since entering Indonesia in 2018, de Vreese said that the company focus has been on three aspects; Care, Modernise and Grow. “We are committed to providing safe and healthy animal nutrition. Using the latest technology in this factory provides a new passion to create a positive impact in animal protein production, making our work more effective, optimal, and professional so that De Heus can grow even more,” he added.
Head of Production, Indra Kusuma said, “Along with increasing the demand and widespread market needs for De Heus Indonesia products, we hope that production activities in this new tower will be more effective and can meet the demand of customers or even exceed it.”
In 2018, Royal De Heus Group acquired 100% of Universal Agri Bisnisindo, a private Indonesian animal feed company held by a consortium of several private shareholders. The acquisition represented De Heus’ entry in the Indonesian animal feed market and was in line with De Heus’ strategy to further strengthen its position in the animal feed in Asia. De Heus announced that with a total annual sales volume of 300,000 tonnes of poultry, fish and shrimp feed, Universal provided De Heus with an ideal platform to build and further expand its activities in Indonesia.
