Organisers have unveiled the first look for the 13th AFAF virtual venue on the website

This gives the general information on the Gather.town and Webex; platforms being used for the event. Participants are requested to browse through the general information for better understanding of using these platforms.

The 13th Asian Fisheries and Aquaculture Forum (13th AFAF) to be held from May 31 to June 2, is a scientific forum organised by the Asian Fisheries Society (AFS) once every three years to understand the global trends and addressing issues faced by the fishery and aquaculture industry. The main purpose of this 3-day forum is to provide an international platform for eminent scientists and young researchers from around the globe to share their research experiences and innovative ideas.

In view of the prevailing global COVID-19 pandemic, organisers; Asian Fisheries Society and National Cheng Kung University, Taiwan have decided to organise the 13th AFAF as a virtual forum for safety reasons. Since this is the first virtual forum, organisers, the are all excited to explore this new technology and opportunity for learning and networking.

Program
A detailed program for the 3-day forum has been uploaded on the website. The program features 6 Scientific sessions and 8 interesting topics with on-demand oral presentations and poster presentations.
The 13AFAF from May 31- June 2 will start with welcoming remarks from industry leaders led by Prof. Alice Joan G. Ferrer, President, 13th Council, Asian Fisheries Society and Prof. I Chiu Liao Academician, Academia Sinica, National Taiwan Ocean University, Taiwan.
