VIETSHRIMP 2025 is set to start on March 26-28 in Cantho City, Vietnam. The organisers have released the following with regards to the shrimp industry in Vietnam.
To enhance competitiveness and achieve growth targets in 2025, the industry must accelerate technological applications while ensuring environmental protection. Green transformation is an irreversible trend, laying a crucial foundation for a sustainable and prosperous future. What direction will VietShrimp 2025 set for the Shrimp Industry?
Promoting Advanced Farming Models and Low-Emission Technologies
To enhance competitiveness and achieve growth goals in 2025, the industry must prioritize quality, environmental protection, health, and product value. As Vietnam’s agricultural sector strives to implement various solutions to achieve net-zero emissions by 2050, many seafood enterprises have proactively invested in research and applied Industry 4.0 technologies to shift towards greener production. These efforts not only reduce greenhouse gas emissions but also contribute to environmental conservation.
Raising awareness around clean shrimp products
“Greening farming” is also the central theme of this 6th VietShrimp 2025 – VietShrimp Aquaculture International Fair.
Currently, regulators and seafood processing businesses are actively transitioning to ‘green’ export strategies , to enhance market competitiveness. According to industry experts, green transformation has three core objectives:
- expanding sustainable aquaculture models, upgrading value chains within the aquafeed system.
- greening the production chain and standardising farming areas are key goals for Vietnam’s clean shrimp industry.
A platform for businesses to strengthen and expand cooperation
Over the past five editions, VietShrimp has consistently attracted the attention of shrimp farmers, farms, businesses, companies, experts from both Vietnam and abroad, as well as government agencies and visitors.
Attendees can experience the Exhibition Zone with over 200 booths from various sectors, including shrimp breeding, machinery and equipment, aquafeed, aquaculture veterinary medicine, and biological products….

Alongside the exhibition, a series of four expert-led seminars will feature the participation of industry leaders, businesses, and both local and international speakers, fostering discussions and knowledge exchange to explore solutions for achieving the “Greening Farming” goal. These efforts contribute to the efficient and sustainable development of the shrimp industry, expanding Vietnam’s shrimp presence in global markets and reinforcing the “Vietnamese Shrimp” brand in the international shrimp industry.
