These are NoviwestTM and PanavoraTM.  The two standalone firms will pursue distinct strategies built around complementary capabilities.

On 22 October, dsm-firmenich announced NoviwestTM and PanavoraTM as the names of the two standalone companies that will emerge from the sale of the Animal Nutrition & Health business to CVC Capital Partners.

Subject to completion of the transaction, CVC will acquire the companies, while dsm-firmenich will retain a 20% equity interest in each. Completion remains subject to the conditions described in dsm-firmenich’s announcement of 9 February 2026, including applicable regulatory approvals and employee consultation processes.

Introducing Noviwest™
Every day, billions of people and animals rely on essential ingredients. Ingredients that support health, improve nutrition, and bring color and scent to the world. Noviwest™ builds on a century of expertise in vitamins, carotenoids and aroma ingredients. By producing a wide range of vitamins in Europe, the company helps safeguard global food security and gives customers in the food, feed, fragrance and pharmaceutical industries peace of mind.

Silvia Sonneveld, Head of the Vitamins Unit at dsm-firmenich Animal Nutrition & Health, and designated CEO of Noviwest™ said,

“Noviwest represents a new beginning built on decades of expertise and innovation. Our talented team remains fully committed to deliver high-quality vitamins, carotenoids and aroma ingredients to customers around the world. At a time when resilience and supply security are critical, we believe a strong European manufacturing base for essential vitamins plays a vital role in safeguarding food systems, animal nutrition and human health.”

Introducing Panavora™
As the world seeks more sustainable, efficient and resilient animal protein production, Panavora™ will help customers turn complexity into opportunity. With the world’s largest premix distribution network, leading innovative feed additives, and a range of additional services and solutions, including digital products. The company will partner with producers across the value chain to improve animal health, performance and sustainability outcomes. Guided by its purpose of feeding the planet without costing the earth, Panavora™ will help shape the future of animal nutrition through solutions that create measurable value for customers, animals and society.

Ivo Lansbergen, president of dsm-firmenich Animal Nutrition & Health and designated CEO of Panavora™, said,

We believe this focused approach will allow us to move faster and co-create greater value with our customers.”

What this means for customers
The creation of Noviwest™ and Panavora™ is intended to establish two focused businesses with distinct strategies and complementary capabilities. Noviwest™ will concentrate on delivering the essential ingredients the world depends on, helping safeguard supply, quality and long-term resilience across global nutrition value chains. Panavora™ will focus on accelerating innovation in animal nutrition and health through science-based solutions, precision services and customer-focused expertise.

Following completion, Noviwest™ and Panavora™ will operate as independent companies, each pursuing its own strategy and serving customers independently. While the companies will operate separately, they will continue to collaborate in selected areas where their capabilities are complementary, allowing customers to benefit from the combined breadth of expertise, innovation and solutions across both organizations, while each company remains independently managed and governed.

Fidelis Fru, SVP, Business Development, Animal Nutrition and Health at dsm-firmenich introduced Panavora at the ongoing World Nutrition Forum, held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on 22 October 2026.

Looking Ahead
Preparation and separation activities will continue as the transaction moves toward completion. Until completion, Animal Nutrition & Health will remain part of dsm-firmenich and will continue to focus on serving customers and maintaining business continuity. Further information about Noviwest™ and Panavora™ will be communicated as the two future companies take shape and relevant transaction milestones are reached.
