Join the F3 Webinar: Aquafeed Investors: Funding the Future of Food
During this session, a panel of aquaculture investors representing the full range from seed to venture will discuss their investing approaches, areas of interest, investments in this space, and favorite up-and-coming alternative feed ingredients.
Investors are critical for the existence and growth of new ingredient companies whose ingredients can serve as nutritionally equivalent substitutes for fishmeal and fish oil, that will enable aquaculture to continue to grow.
Investors can fund at many points of a start-up’s life cycle: research, proof of concept, and then scaling. In this session we will hear from aquaculture investors about their investing approaches, areas of interest, investments in this space, and favorite up-and-coming alternative ingredients.
For aquafeed companies, alternative ingredients enable risk mitigation for limited and unstable supply chains. For investors, these same supply-chain problems present potentially lucrative opportunities.
Moderator: Dr Kevin Fitzsimmons, chair of the F3 Challenge and professor and director of
international programs at The University of Arizona.

As wild-caught fish supplies dwindle, the entire aquaculture industry has a stake in ingredients that are nutritionally equivalent and can serve as substitutes for fishmeal and fish oil. Nutritionally equivalent substitutes can derisk supply chains and future-proof the aquaculture industry for continued growth. For investors, these same supply-chain problems present potentially lucrative growth opportunities.
The webinar will take place on Thursday, Oct. 14, 2021 at 5 am GMT/ 1pm Beijing time
