Set in Australia’s tropical north, Darwin offers spectacular natural landscapes including Kakadu, Litchfield, and Nitmiluk National Parks, alongside the rich cultural and artistic traditions of Australia’s First Nations peoples.
This prestigious international conference will bring together leading researchers, industry experts, and policy makers from around the world to share the latest advancements in aquaculture nutrition and feeding. It also provides a unique opportunity to showcase Australia’s $2 billion aquaculture industry, spanning tropical species such as barramundi, prawns, grouper, and mudcrab, through to established fed species like abalone, Murray cod, yellowtail kingfish, and freshwater crayfish.

Conference Chair and CSIRO Research Scientist, Dr Cedric Simon, said:
“CSIRO looks forward to welcoming delegates from around the world to share the latest research and innovations in aquatic animal nutrition and feeding. Hosting ISFNF 2026 in Darwin gives us the chance to highlight Australia’s tropical aquaculture industry and strengthen ties with our neighbours in South-East Asia — a global hub of aquaculture activity.”
